Cobra motors test data

The repository contains test data, specifications and performance curves for Cobra motors for drone applications. Datasets with test results contain dependencies of thrust, electric current, input power, RPM and efficiency on the throttle for the specific motor and propeller assemblies. For each motor type test datasets are grouped by KV and propeller type and named accordingly. Relations of the listed motor parameters on the throttle are constructed as smooth curves for each test assembly. Specifications on main motor properties, like weight, dimensions, voltage, etc. are attached to each folder representing a motor.

Motor features

According to the manufacturer, stators are made with laminations that are only 0.2mm thick for maximum efficiency and minimum Eddy Current losses. The motor front housings feature built-in magnet spacers that lock the magnets in place in perfect alignment with one another, and reinforce the glue joints for maximum bonding strength. On the larger size motors, there is a lip on the back edge of the rotor can that captures the magnets and prevents them from shifting under the highest power loads. The bearings used in Cobra motors are much larger than most other brands of motors for increased life and durability, and resistance to damage from the occasional 'Rough Landing'. All motors have included prop washers and nylon insert prop nuts that provide a solid attachment for propellers that will not loosen up and slip during use.

Cobra motors range in size from 22mm to 45mm and offer 3 to 5 different Kv values per model to allow the user to get the exact motor needed to match the battery size and propeller restrictions of their particular assembly.
