Xoar propellers


The selection of an appropriate propeller is crucial for achieving optimal characteristics of the propulsion system, like flight stability, maneuverability, and endurance. This repository contains technical data on the XOAR propellers, split into datasets by propeller type and organized into several spreadsheets by the application category:

  1. Propellers for gas/glow engines;
  2. Propellers for electric motors;
  3. Propellers for multicopters.



Gas/glow propellers

 

PJA – sport type A beechwood propellers


Xoar PJA are lightweight beechwood propellers featuring high efficiency and accurate performance. Propellers are covered with 2 layers of primer coating and 2 layers of glossy protection coating. These props offer a wide range of specifications, ranging from 9" to 36" diameters with a variety of pitch options. Each of the Xoar props is manually rebalanced. Xoar PJA also offers a pusher series - PJA-P.

PJB – type B beechwood propellers


The Xoar PJB beechwood propeller is designed for model airplanes, featuring a square tip design for enhanced energy absorption, resulting in an increased thrust-to-weight ratio without enlarging the propeller diameter. Made from German beechwood lumber, these propellers are ideal for gas engines. They come in a diameter range from 9" to 26".

PJD – sport type A laminated propellers


The Xoar PJD series comprises laminated propellers designed for RC model airplanes, featuring tapered tips to balance thrust and speed. These propellers are made from plywood with each ply no thicker than 1 mm and exhibit high resistance to flex, which improves efficiency at high values of RPM and thrust. PJD propellers come in a diameter range from 15" to 36" with a variety of pitch options. Xoar PJD also offers a pusher series - PJD-P.

PJE – beechwood propellers for 3D aerobatics


The Xoar PJE 3D propeller is optimized for enhancing 3D flying performance in RC model airplanes, with a focus on maneuverability during aerobatics at various speeds. These propellers are made of German beechwood and come in a full range of specs from 18" to 32" diameters and 3 sets of pitches to satisfy all kinds of aircraft and engine specs and desired flight performance.

PJG – nylon propellers


PJG nylon propellers are a great alternative to PJA propellers. With the same propeller profile as PJA, but manufactured out of nylon fiber, these propellers are more affordable than wooden PJA, and at the same time have better strength than plastic propellers.

PJH – beechwood propellers for F3A competition


Xoar PJH F3A propellers are designed with a unique blade configuration specifically optimized for F3A competition, where constant speed during climbing and cruising with low noise is essential. These propellers are made from German Pollmeier lumber, hand-picked from the top batch, ensuring the physical properties required to meet F3A standards.


The PJH series is available in laminated and hi-laminated materials to cater to various flying requirements. Laminated wood offers higher resistance to flex and heat, leading to increased efficiency at high RPM and more thrust. Laminated props consist of plywood, with each ply no thicker than 1 mm and a carefully selected combination of wood and glue.

PJI – type A tri-blade beechwood propellers


Made from high-quality German beechwood, the Xoar PJI 3-blade propellers contain an aluminum reinforcing hub and studs that secure the 3 wood blades in place. PJT – sport type A carbon fiber propellers


Xoar PJT propeller is a carbon fiber version of PJA sport prop. Xoar’s latest generation of Xoar Carbon Fiber Propeller is constructed with foam filling to ensure the lightest weight with great strength.

PJP-T-LF – precision pair quadcopter & multicopter folding carbon fiber propellers for low Kv electric motors

PJP-T-LU – precision pair quadcopter & multicopter ultralight carbon fiber propellers for low Kv electric motors

These Xoar props can be mounted on Xoar self-tightening adapters using the 13mm mounting side holes or directly on DJI Inspire 2's motors after removing DJI's adapters. These props can NOT be mounted directly on Inspire's motors.

Xoar PJP-T-LF carbon fiber precision pair multicopter folding propellers are designed for low Kv RC motors for quadcopter or multicopter aerial applications and multi-axial model helicopters. The pairs have the same pitch, same angle of attack, and same weight. The maximum weight difference for each prop in the precision pair is 0.5 gram, which guarantees consistent performance due to same torque being produced by the motors on each pair of opposite arms.


Having unique structural design and being manufactured out of high-quality 3K carbon fiber fabric and a special resin system, these propellers offer maximum strength and endurance. Reduced flex on the tips during drone flight results in reduced noise and vibration. Thanks to carbon fiber's stiffness and Xoar's blade design, the PJP-T-LF propellers minimize aerodynamic resistance, reducing the electric motors' current draw and yielding longer flight times. Compared to wooden multicopter propellers, flight time is extended up to 15%, and compared to generic plastic props, it can be extended up to 30%.


The hub is constructed with high-quality aluminum. It has mounting holes that fit for electric motors with 12mm x 12mm or 13mm x 13mm mounting holes for propellers of 18 inches or below. Xoar PJP-T-LF propellers are compatible with any electric brushless motors.

PJP-T-LU – precision pair quadcopter & multicopter ultralight carbon fiber propellers for low Kv electric motors


PJP-T-LU propellers are designed for low Kv RC motors and exhibit high strength and endurance, utilizing a unique structural design. These propellers are made of premium quality 12K carbon fiber - spread tow fabric (STF), known for its lightweight characteristics and superior strength-to-weight ratio, being up to 20% lighter than regular 3K carbon fiber fabric. High stiffness reduces the flexing of the tips during drone flight, leading to reduced noise and vibration. PJP-T-LU propellers are the lightest in the precision pair family.


Propellers are produced with a unique blade shape and ultra-thin hub. The pairs have the same pitch, same angle of attack, and same weight. The maximum weight difference for each prop in the precision pair is 0.5 gram, which guarantees consistent performance due to the same torque being produced by the motors on each pair of opposite arms. The design of these propellers depend on the diameter: for diameters 12" to 18", the hub is flat, while for diameters 19" and above, the hub is round to ensure structural strength.


PJP-T-L propellers are compatible with any electric brushless motors.

PJP-N-PH3 – precision pair beechwood propellers for DJI Phantom 3 and 4


PJP-N-PH3 self-tightening propellers are made of beechwood from German Pollmeier lumber. Xoar propellers are the perfect upgrade for DJI Phantom 3 and 4 for aerial cinematography, security, agriculture, survey & mapping, research & rescue, and traffic monitoring.

These propellers are made of premium carbon fiber fabric and a special resin system, providing ultra-lightweight properties to maximize efficiency and torque for aerial applications. High-quality materials in combination with a unique structural design offer maximum strength and endurance, reducing flexing of the tips during flight. This results in reduced noise and vibration, leading to a stable, responsive, smooth, accurate, and quieter flight compared to the stock DJI props.

The package includes XOAR aluminum self-tightening adapters, designed with high-quality aluminum. The adapters offer two sets of side holes - 12mm and 13mm apart between their centers. These Xoar props can be mounted on Xoar self-tightening adapters using the 13mm mounting side holes or directly on DJI Inspire 2's motors after removing DJI's adapters. These props can NOT be mounted directly on Inspire's motors.

The self-tightening adapters are made of high-quality aluminum. The adapters come with 2 sets of side holes - 12mm and 13mm between the center of the 2 side holes in order to support both DJI and other motors mounting patterns.
